In simple terms we start with you at St Bees Head and walk with you for 2 to 3 days whilst teaching you all you need to know for the rest of the walk.
Navigation is the key element and use of map, compass and GPS area dealt with in addition to some key tips.
All our instructors hold nationally recognised qualifications and have many years of walking and teaching experience.
The service we provide is unlike anything else on offer. We will put you at ease with the challenge and help you enjoy the experience more.
Coast to Coast Help provide instruction and training for Wainwright's Coast to Coast, whilst you are on the walk!
Our purpose is to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to complete the walk in safety and as Wainwright intended. Every year thousands attempt the famous crossing of England, linking St Bees head to Robin hoods bay, this is a serious undertaking and one that many are unprepared for. We will teach you how to select and navigate a route, how to avoid dangers posed by poor weather and harsh landscapes and what is really involved in the walk.
We will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of guide books and GPS devices and give you the confidence and skills to go it alone.
