Coast 2 Coast Help is owned and run by Mike Wood, an experienced mountain leader based in the Lake District and North Yorkshire. He is assisted by a select number of associate instructors such as Duncan Greene who conform to Mike’s high standards of professionalism  and customer service. All our instructors hold suitable national qualifications and hold public liability insurance.

Booking and administration is carried out by Mike’s wife Paula. Paula prides herself on customer service, if you have any special requests then drop her a line and she will be happy to advise and assist.

Hopelessly addicted to the outdoors. I came up with the idea for Coast 2 Coast Help after completing it in 2010.  I was shocked to see how many people were relying on guide books and GPS without understanding the limitations. In total we rescued 10 people lost before we left the lakes!

I have climbed and walked extensively in all of our mountain areas I have also spent quite some time in the French Dauphin Alps, but if pushed I would plump for the lakes in summer and Scotland in winter .
